Eliah’s Louisville Kentucky Newborn Photography Session
I was so excited to finally get this handsome guy into the studio for his Lousiville Kentucky newborn photography session! After his momma’s maternity session, I could not wait to meet her sweet baby! Watching her joy as her baby grew in her belly, and her awe when he was born was so beautiful!
Eliah had other plans though. He needed some extra time in the NICU while the doctors worked hard to make sure that all his levels were where they should be and that he could maintain them before coming home. After more than four weeks, he finally got to break out of his hospital room and I got to see him on the day he turned five weeks old!
We started his session with mom and dad. He was still working on falling asleep and I just love that we got a few with his eyes open. Just check out the crinkle nose and lips below! He had so many fun expressions until he fell into a relaxed sleep!
I always make sure to capture these tiny details, but it felt extra special for this session. Technically, a baby is considered a newborn through week six. Since we were so close to that time period, I wanted to make sure mom and dad would have those tiny fingers and toes, and sweet baby lips to look back on.
Eliah was such a good little sleeper! We wrapped him up, and he just slept the session away! I just love that even though he was five weeks old, we could still capture his tiny newborn size. He’ll never be any smaller then this moment again!
I wanted to capture one more special photo with mom and dad. He was starting to wake up a bit here, but we managed to get the shot and I think it’s one of my favorites!
To end the session, we slowly removed the cozy wraps and got to capture all those sweet rolls! I just loved that we were able to end the session this way!
So many people worry that if they don’t get a newborn session within the first two weeks, it’s just not possible. But this sweet boy proves that so wrong. If you are looking for a newborn photographer, contact me today to schedule your session. Also, follow me on Instagram.
