Denver Colorado Newborn Session | Zoe

There’s something undeniably magical about capturing the first days of a newborn’s life. The tiny fingers, soft coos, and tender moments shared with loved ones create memories that will last a lifetime. I had the incredible honor of photographing baby Zoe’s Denver Colorado newborn session, and what made it even more special was having mom, dad, and her big sister, Ava, join in the fun.

We started Zoe’s session with family photos. It’s so beautiful to see them cuddled together for their first photos as a family of four! We made sure to get a photo with each mom and dad as well. They snuggled right in and you can just feel the love for their newest baby girl!

From the moment they walked into the portrait studio, you could just see how delighted Ava was to be a big sister! She was so excited when it got to just her and Zoe’s moment in the Denver Colorado newborn session. She proudly held Zoe and looked at her with so much joy! Mom and Dad let me know that Zoe will be rounding out their family and that they just love that their daughter’s names begin with A and Z. It’s the perfect beginning and end for them!

Now, let’s talk about Zoe—what a beauty! She was the picture of sweetness with her soft, peachy skin, tiny lips, and delicate features. It’s always incredible to see how unique every newborn is, and Zoe had such a calm, serene presence during the Denver Colorado newborn session. She slept peacefully through most of the shoot, only waking for a few precious moments when she snuggled up in her parent’s arms.

Whether she was snuggled up in a soft wrap or nestled in a basket, Zoe looked absolutely angelic in every shot. We focused on capturing her small, detailed features—the tiniest of toes, the gentle curve of her lips, and the beautiful expressions she made as she drifted in and out of sleep. These first few days are so fleeting, and I love being able to freeze these moments in time.

In every newborn session, I include a tiny newborn bed for one of the setups. This was just perfect for Zoe! Wrapped in a soft, cozy wrap and a fluffy wool layer, she was peacefully nestled into this tiny, vintage-style bed that cradled her just perfectly.

No session would be complete without a snuggle with a little lovie! Mom picked out this tiny sweet rabbit to go with Zoe’s session. Just check out that little grin that Zoe gave us!

I just love all the little details that make each session their own! This little crown was just perfect for Zoe’s session. It delicately rested atop her head and glittered with all the joy that she brings to her family! Whether it be a crown, bonnet, or beautiful headband, each accentuated Zoe’s soft round cheeks, tiny button nose, and delicate little lips.

It was an absolute privilege to capture the first days of Zoe’s life, especially with big sister Ava by her side. The love and connection between the two sisters, and the whole family, was evident in every frame. These early moments are fleeting, but through photography, they become timeless memories that families can treasure for generations.
